You’re Fired: IRGC Trolls Trump’s Signature Catchphrase | DISCUSS

In a viral psychological warfare move on Monday, March 23, 2026, an IRGC spokesperson delivered a pointed video message in English mocking President Donald Trump.

The message comes as the 48-hour ultimatum issued by the U.S.—demanding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz or facing the "obliteration" of Iran's power grid—reaches its final hours.

The Viral Message

The spokesperson, identified in some reports as Ebrahim Zolfaghari from the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, addressed the President directly using his own iconic phrases from The Apprentice and social media:

"Hey, Trump, you're fired. You are familiar with this sentence. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

Double Mockery: The jab not only used Trump's television catchphrase but also mimicked his signature Truth Social sign-off, "Thank you for your attention to this matter," which the President had used in the very post that issued the 48-hour threat.

Shift in Tone: Analysts suggest the move to speak English was a deliberate attempt to communicate directly with the American public and the President’s base, aiming to project confidence despite three weeks of devastating strikes under Operation Epic Fury.

The "Tit-for-Tat" Energy Warning

Beyond the mockery, the IRGC spokesperson used the video to issue a severe counter-threat regarding regional infrastructure:

"Electricity for Electricity": Military spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaqari warned that if the U.S. strikes Iran's power plants, Tehran will retaliate against all U.S.-linked energy and IT assets in the Gulf.

Desalination Plants: Specifically, Iran has threatened to target water desalination facilities belonging to the U.S. and its regional allies (likely the UAE and Saudi Arabia), which could trigger a massive humanitarian crisis.

Hormuz Status: The IRGC reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain "completely closed" to "enemy vessels" and will not reopen until any destroyed Iranian power plants are fully rebuilt by the coalition.
